As the Managing Director of Surface Dynamics, Francesco is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership by working with the Board of Directors and Global Management Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. He brings strong leadership and management capabilities to focus on business expansion, world class manufacturing operations, and takes care of key sales and partnership relations with actual and potential accounts. He is responsible for key business activities for the US-North American market.

Francesco has a solid background in research and development (R&D) and was previously the R&D Manager for Eurocoating and Plant Manager at Anteco. During his career he has successfully led, managed, and co-founded R&D projects for different legal entities within the European community, such as for the Italian Minister of University and local government. He has led projects with a team for design, development, validation, industrial and market implementation of CE marked Medical Device Class II and III manufacturing.

An established author and speaker, Francesco has published many scientific papers and given oral and poster presentations at meetings. His qualifications include a PhD in Industrial Production System and Economics from the Polytechnic University of Turin, an MSc in Material Engineering from the University of Perugia, and is an Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA), awarded by Bologna Business School in Italy.
